Kandi Buruss opens new Boutique TAGS

With all the all clothing lines launched and featured on this past session of Real Housewives of Altanta who knew the breakout star of clothing would turn out to be Kandi.

Kandi Burruss is pressing forward with life after a tumultous 2009 that included joining 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' the recording of "Tardy For The Party," the death of an uncle and the unfortunate and untimely death of her onscreen co-star and at one point, fiance.

Teaming up with close friend Peaches Chin, Burruss has opened a boutique called 'Tags' in Atlanta, Georgia.

Focusing on affordable men's and women's clothing, 'Tags' features a mix of party and daytime dresses, trendy t-shirts and a bevy of button down shirts and jackets for men. In a departure from the norm, sixty percent of 'Tags' is dedicated to male clientele.

"Atlanta is a fashion town. Anybody who loves fashion will love this store," Burruss told the Atlanta Journal Constitution recently. "There are no places for men to shop in this area. We felt we had something different to offer."

'Tags' is now open in Smyrna, just outside Atlanta.

Tatyana Ali & BET's Lauches It's 1st Web Series "Bubbies"

For most people, getting an Ivy League degree provides a career boost. But when actress Tatyana Ali returned to acting after graduating from Harvard in 2002, she found it hard to get work in Hollywood.

Ali and her sister and business partner, Anastasia, contacted a friend from school, Julian Breece, who’d approached her years earlier with an idea for a television show. The networks passed on the idea, so Ali and Breece looked to the Web, with Ali producing and Breece writing and directing. Independently financing and producing the show gave them complete creative control, from writing in gay characters to casting mostly black actors.

On Tuesday, November 24th BET.com debuted the much buzzed about web series which is set  for a ten-week run. Set in the glitzy and glamorous world of the Black Hollywood, BUPPIES chronicles the relationship dramas of a group of slightly dysfunctional but inseparable friends as they navigate the tricky terrain of L.A.'s young black power elite.

BUPPIES was created and produced by critically acclaimed filmmakers. Creator, writer and director Julian Breece's first film was an official selection of this year's Sundance Film Festival. Just this year, he and his producing partner, Aaliyah Williams, were highlighted as part of IndieWire's "Top 10 New Voices in Black Cinema." Their production company, Game Theory Films, produced the series along with Tatyana Ali and her sister Anastasia's production company HazraH Entertainment. Tatyana Ali serves as an Executive Producer of the series along with producers Aaliyah Williams and Anastasia Ali.

Beauty brand CoverGirl has signed on as the inaugural sponsor of BUPPIES.

Gifts for Him: The Sneaker Head Wish List

While many of you prefer to step out in your best pair of Prada or Ferragamos, however many of the NYC's trendiest men on the block can't live with a crazy sneaker collection.
So to all the sneaker heads out there, enjoy!

Air Yeezy

Born from Kanye West's creative passion, built with Nike design and performance innovation, The Air Yeezy was fine-tuned on stages around the globe, challenging convention by remixing the past to create something uniquely new.

Gucci Dunk Hi SB

The color combo is sick! Green for "MaryJane", red for "Fire" and black for RESN! Sneakerfiends have waited waited long enough, but it's finally here. These Nike SB Dunk Highs feature an RESN replacement of the usual Nike SB tag in respect to Sam Smyth of Girl Skateboards who designed the ultra-exclusive, original “Gucci” dunks.

Eddie Cruz Hi AF1

Stepping outside of the Undefeated brand are the two co-owners of the sneaker culture giant. James Bond has earned his stripes with the 3 Stripes Brand and Eddie Cruz has been in the Air with swoosh brand designing what you see here. A part of the East vs West Pack is the Air Force 1 High constructed by Eddie Cruz of Undefeated.

Nike Air Max 90 Day Of The Dead

The Nike Air Max 90 (day of the dead) uses a combination of black leather and mesh on the upper with vibrant splashes of orange, purple and green spread throughout the design, with the focal point being the wild pattern that lines the bottom section of the upper. In addition the shoe also boasts some glow in the dark effects.

Nike Air Force 1 Savage Beast

Nike has done it again. Every season Nike releases a holiday themed sneaker, so Halloween is no different. This Halloween Nike created monster inspired Air Force 1 low “Savage Beast”. This sneaker was not just inspired by Halloween but also by the savage beast monster in the bugs bunny cartoon. This sneaker consist of two different textures. The main texture is a orange synthetic pony fur upper that extends down to the mid-sole. The bold look of the fur is off set by touches beige canvas for the swoosh and heels tabs which host the words “savage beast” in red stitching. Last but not least the AF1 low (savage beast) is complimented with a gum outsole.

"The Barber's Daughters." Photo: Kevork Djansezian, Getty Images

Alicia Keys is getting into the bling business with a new line of necklaces in partnership with The Barber's Daughters designer Gisele Theriault. Due out in fall 2010, the collection will range in price from $85 to $2,500 and feature precious metals and gems inscribed with inspirational messages, reports People.com.

Alicia first met Gisele while she was touring in Toronto through her bandmates, who happened to be buying the jewelry backstage at her show.

"I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces, but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me," Alicia tells WWD about Gisele's pieces, which are inscribed with poetry and prayers. "I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration, and that's what got me started."

A two-day preview of Alicia's collection of necklaces for The Barbara's Daughters will take place in New York at Collette Blanchard Gallery at 26 Clinton Street. Alicia's jewelry has already gotten some celebrity love from Halle Berry, who purchased a one-of-a-kind piece for $40,000 at a charity auction.

DIVA FAN: Beyonce + Lady Gaga Video Phone Rmx

For years now we haven’t felt much excitement about a video release. Remember back in the late 90’s when MTV would have “Video World Premiere” and you’d be sitting infront of the tube, on the phone with your best friend, poppin’ some popcorn, and anxiously waiting for the video premiere of your favorite artist?

Well those days don’t really exist anymore, booty shaking and half naked women have taken over the music video scene… BUT.. these past two weeks have given us that feeling back. Lady Gaga’s recent video release of “Bad Romance”, and Melanie Fiona’s video for “Bang Bang” has definitely given us hope that good music AND music videos are back.

Whew, B and Gaga sure to know how to keep us entertained.
